Jarrod traded work for a week at a beach house in Pacific Beach. At first I was kinda bummed because the money would have been nice, but once we were there, I quickly realized that the memories that were made were priceless! The house was pretty big and had an apartment on top, so needless to say we accommodated a lot of people. Everyone that came brought bikes, water toys, sand toys, food, and good company. It was mostly a Pulsipher family get together but all were welcome and those who took advantage had a great time and we were glad they made the effort to come out.
This summer has been one the best ever! We have done so much, gone so many places, and made countless memories. It has really reiterated to me what a wonderful family I have! I have no doubt in my mind that my husband and kids love me unconditionally. I know that my parents are amazing people who love me and my brothers and sisters. It was reaffirmed that family is not selfish, undermining, jealous, or spiteful. Family is comfortable, fun, loving, understanding, fair, and above all, forgiving. I know who I am. I know what I want. And I know what is real. Even if nothing else had been gained this summer, that knowledge would have been enough.
